Our Official Notarized Papers arrived this morning after breakfast for us to proof and read for accuracy and they were 100% correct! Not a single mistake on all the originals and there were quite a few--the Passport documents, Registration documents, Abandonment documents.  What a praise God.  We are on schedule to pick up Levi's passport tomorrow afternoon on our way out of town, for the final leg of this journey to bring Levi home.  All of which had multiple notarized copies.  We physically carry these with us to Guangzhou tomorrow, Friday, March 24.  Our appointments begin on Saturday with Levi's medical appointment, which will be great timing to ask the doctor about his cold and congestion.  It may be actually some better, which is another answer to prayer.

Exploring the West Lake Temple Falls

It's green and beautiful here in Fuzhou, Fujian.  This land and region is known for some of what is considered the finest tea in the world.  Jasmine tea is the specialty.  All that happens due to the rain.  Lots of rain in the rainy season of the year, which happens to be about now.

It rained today, but that sis not stop us from executing a plan that we think will get us through he airports with this added family member.  We shopped for a stroller and found what we needed at a department store in City Center.  The store conveniently had a play place as well.  While it was certainly recreational for Levi's parents, it was a little less impressive for Levi.  We wonder what in the world is going through his mind.  I know he has now seen adults do things with him he has absolutely never experienced before and it's only the beginning.  Like crawling through tubes and going down slides.  Not to mention the ball pool.

The play place...

I think I'm having a ball!

We had found a used Snugli and brought that along and we're thinking that is a favorite for Levi-he went out while we were in transit and for nearly an hour.  The first time he had ever been in the carrier!  Maybe he's getting used to sound of his mommy's heart beat.

Well, it's a department store

Global Branding-at it's best!

There are several families here in the hotel that are in process and at similar stages as we are.  There are things that the children(older especially) deal with that would never cross your mind.  For example:  To help prepare the children to leave, they begin to talk with them several months ahead of time to give them details about where they are going and what the new family will be like.  One of those things discussed is the adoptive family's home, and how large it is in comparison to local houses.  Well this little 5 year old that is really having a difficult time is thinking that maybe she was not told the truth because her house now is so small!  It's hard to describe to a child that has grown up in an orphanage and at five cannot get a concept of a "hotel" room and difference with her home she is yet to see.  Pray for Fuyo (5 yo) and Liu (3 yo) as they take in all the changes coming their way right now.

We begin to regroup and make the transition to Guangzhou.  We will be checking into the Phoenix Hotel and that will be our base camp for the next week.  Pray for us as we take Levi from his home town, that we can communicate to him our experience here and how the people that helped us were so very gracious, kind and loving to him.  And for that, we are grateful to the People's Republic of China for rescuing Dang Zhibei on February 7th, 2005, and for their facilitating his future in the midst of all the population of this huge nation.  That alone is a miracle for any country and with our experience in the local foster system as foster parents, we do not take that for granted.
