A slower day ahead and that seems to be a great opportunity to catch up.  Cindy and Levi will stay behind and enjoy the day at the hotel, taking walks and playing with nothing on the agenda.  A good day for bonding and getting a second, third or fourth wind for the last few days of the trip.  It is hard to think we actually go home Friday, but it seems like we have been here for a month!

So many things seem even more distant and foreign and other things seem routine.  Catching a cab is easy now!  A breeze.  Crossing the street even seems safer although it is probably taken for granted how dangerous it is.  Cab rides in NYC are a kiddie ride in comparison to here--Beijing, Fuzhou and Guangzhou.  All the same.  Hang on.  It's funny.  When you sit in the front seat the driver asks you to put on your seat belt.  A little ironic, but nonetheless feels safer I guess.

Angela our travel coordinator for here in Guangdong Province is remarkable.  I think we had the fastest in-out clinic visit on record in the midst of what felt like chaos.  She knows everyone you need to meet with and they know her!!  Jordan at one of the stores even remarked at how much he really liked how she works with families!  He faith in the Lord is strong and she also has worked with families long enough to share common helpful hints that can make your day!  To Angela--Thank You!!

Our papers were processed and Angela now has them to process for us at the consulate.  Levi's vaccination record was translated and looks very good.  We will test his vaccines so we don't make any assumptions about how well he's covered or what he may need.  No need to repeat all of them if it's not needed.  Wednesday will be the long day in GZ for the consulate appointment-most of which will involve Angela.  We have had favor with every agency and official.  We are very thankful for that and know that it is because of the good relationships our agency has developed over the years as well as how the Lord has prepared the way for us!!  We thank Him in advance for every additional appointment and meeting--the Consulate swearing in on Thursday and then the 3 airports on Thursday & Friday.

Levi answers to his name!!  How remarkable is that!  He takes a bottle faster than any child we have ever seen.  I think part of that is the orphanage so we may actually work to slow it down some as the days become more routine at home.  His appetite is great and what goes in must come out and that is working well too.

Looking forward to another sunny and pleasant day on Wednesday.  Our hope is to start the day at the Guangzhou Zoo so we can see our first Panda.

Inheritance is one of THE biggest cultural values here.  Dang Zhibei (Levi) as an orphan literally had nothing--no future or hope as an orphan, not to mention an orphan with a cleft lip/palate.  Read the selected passages from Billy Graham's daughter, Anne Graham Lotz's Daily Light for March 29--our Consulate Appointment day for his US VISA application:

Come, you Blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared

for you from the foundation of the world.

Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.  Has God not chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those who love him?  Heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.

The Father himself loves you, because you have loved Me.  God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them.

He who overcomes shall inherit everything, and I will be his god and he shall be my son.  There is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.  He who also has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Prayer request--Tim's sister-in-law's rescheduled surgery has been rescheduled once again to Monday April 3.  She was prepped and ready to go and the DR called it off since he felt like her cold was too bad to proceed
